Bill reminders, budget alerts and goal celebrations, and how to change them.

Bill reminders

Trinance can remind you before a bill is due. Each reminder arrives at 9 am, a set number of days before the bill's next due date, even if Trinance is closed. It says which bill, how much and when.

Choose when in More → Settings → Bill reminders: Never, 1 day before, 3 days before (the default) or 7 days before.

Reminders need a Next due date on the bill, and paused bills don't remind you. See Bills and paychecks.

Over-budget alerts

When a category goes over its monthly limit, Trinance tells you how much you've spent of the limit. You'll get this once per category each month.

Goal reached

When a goal reaches its target, Trinance sends a quick congratulations. This happens once per goal.

Allowing notifications

Trinance asks for permission when you add your first bill or turn on bill reminders. If you said no, Settings shows Notifications are off for Trinance; tap it to open your iPhone's settings and turn them on.

Turning them off

  • For bill reminders, set Bill reminders to Never.
  • Budget and goal alerts don't have their own switch in Trinance. To stop all notifications, go to your iPhone's Settings → Notifications → Trinance.
